Central – A place to eat, work and be inspired 1/3

I’m a huge fan of interior design. There is something about the big lines, compositions, textures, light and materials that make me tick! I guess with a grandfather who is an architect and a mum who will rearrange her furniture as often as some people change their linen, the love for interiors and architecture probably run in my genes.

Back in March I was introduced to James Layfield, the co founder of Central Working. Central is a place to work on the highstreet. It’s a café, a workspace and a member’s club. James gave me the tour and before I knew it I was not only booked to photograph the interior, but I had also signed up as a member!

The fun interior with its Scandinavian inspired textiles was designed by Leigh and Paul from Born Design. I particularly like the work table that doubles as a ping pong table and the bold carpets downstairs (See post 2/3).

Since then I’ve been back several times to photograph various parts of Central. It would be a shame only to show a few of the photos. so I’ve decided to split it into 3 blog posts. See the second post here, and the third post here.

Here we go!
