I love food. It doesn’t have to be fancy food. I’m all over a good hamburger as well as a Coq au vin, or any other dish I can’t pronounce properly. (I did German at school instead of French and the only French I can say is il pleut).
But back to food again. Above all I love desserts. There is nothing better than chocolate melting in your mouth or a warm custard tickling your taste buds. So you can imagine my excitement when I was photographing David Mendes’ chocolate ganache delights and cheesecake extraordinaire. David is a pastry chef and has worked as a baker for Savoy Hotel and a Pastry Sous Chef at Cocomaya. He recently set up Baking Dreams Together.
We photographed all the desserts using diffused window light, but played around with different background colours. The cheesecake just popped out on the pink background, and in case you wonder –It tasted just as good as it looks!
